Oak Chopping Board

Besides being a pioneering organic farmer, Tolly is a passionate woodworker of the highest quality. His gift to you is a Chopping Board made from local timber from the Hardwick Estate, where our farm is based. He has used a gorgeous specimen of oak, from Hardwick’s sustainably managed woodland. His eye for perfection and celebrating the natural beauty of trees has yielded a stunning board which would be welcome in any home kitchen.

 

Whittled Hazel Christmas Decoration

Dave is a local craftsperson also based on the Hardwick Estate, who makes beautiful furniture and garden installations primarily out of willow, sweet chestnut, oak and hazel. He learnt his craft by working in the coppice industry, managing woodlands for biodiversity. Here we present a small token of his work, a decoration for your Christmas Tree, depicting a Tomte, a figure from Scandinavian Folklore that watches over a farm or homestead, protecting it and its inhabitants, especially through the long winter months.
