Year 7 – Pumpkins & Squashes

This is the final crop in the rotation, and once the plants are established, they are undersown with a Green Manure which provides a Herbal Ley for the following 2 years, bringing us back to the start of the rotation.

Different varieties of Squash present so much diversity in flavour, texture, and character. We love growing a selection, and we all have different favourites! Although they are harvested in the Autumn, they tend to store well through the Winter and into Spring.
