The team at Tolhurst Organic were lucky to spend the annual team building on Monday 15th Feb.
It was a great chance for us to get together for the day and discuss some important issues, eat a nourishing lunch and plan the upcoming year.
The day kicked off with a Farm Walk lead by Tolly, which gave us a chance to envision the year ahead in terms of crop rotation, planting schemes and any changes to be made whilst also building our knowledge about sustainability in farming, caretaking of the land and the focus on biodiversity that is so integral to our approach to growing.
We were then treated to a beautiful home cooked Moldovan lunch by Tamara after which we discussed our individual roles on the farm and how the work load is dispersed between the team so we could get a really good idea of everyone skills and areas of expertise.
In the afternoon we learned from Gena Tolhurst about the importance of the energy we bring to work and the importance of keeping our space clean and tidy, which affects everything from our mood to the quality of food we produce. When a workplace is taken care of in a state of reverence, we raise its vibration and the ripple affects are far reaching.
We then partook in an interactive exercise whereby we discussed the importance of workplace communication, and what methods of communication work best for us. followed by Cake and Prosecco, to end a really lovely and inspiring day!
