What’s In Season? August 2021
Goodbye hungry gap, hello season of abundance!
We’re relieved to see the back of what seemed like an eternity of waiting and cursing the constant cold and grey as we willed the weather Gods to be kind and bless us with our much anticipated veg. Finally the wait is over and we are now fully immersed in harvesting our delicious produce for Lins VegShed and our patient box scheme customers, who were no doubt wondering when their veg bag contents was going to return to its home grown roots (pun intended). We’d like to express our sincere gratitude to our loyal supplier Choice Organics for filling the gap for us when we are unable to produce our own veg – they keep us going year-round and we truly do appreciate such consistently great organic produce from their farms for our customers. It’s great to be able to support other farmers and we believe that maintaining a sense of community between growers is essential.
So now we are in full swing with 100% of our own produce going on the shelves and in bags, what’s in Season on our land right now?

Classic Tomatoes

Cucamelons or ‘Mouse Melons’ due to their tiny size. Looks like a small watermelon, tastes like a mix between a cucumber and tomato.
