Vegetables in a Can, not Chutneys and not Pickles... 

Harvesting and cooking workshop with seasonal vegetables at Tolhurst Organic Produce - Saturday 4 September 2010, 11am – 4pm

Participants will pick thirr own veg after a guided garden tour, and prepare two different recipes to take home in jars. There will be lunch prepared using vegetables canned last year (just to taste the quality) and the opportunity to get more recipes, buy extra vegetables to keep you busy at home, and have a great day out, if not more...  

Interested? Then sign up please, by emailing leader@slowfood-oxon.org.uk Details for the day, directions and additional instructions will be emailed to people who sign up. Price is £35, cash or by cheque payable to Slow Food Oxon.  Please sign up by 1 September.

Due to the limited space the event is limited to 10 participants only, on a first come first served basis.

 

Farm Open Day

Sunday 5th September 2010 from 2.30pm

 
You are invited to join us for a guided tour of the Victorian Walled Garden and 17 acres of field crops.
See your vegetables growing on this beautiful estate adjacent to the river Thames, on this celebrated organic farm.  
The walk will finish around 5.00pm when we shall have a cup of tea in the gardens.
Please bring suitable footwear and clothing.
There will be a charge of £5.00 per household.
