New Bag Choice for Box Scheme Customers

It is that time of the year when root vegetables are becoming somewhat in excess in our kitchens. We have offered juicing ideas in the past and our website offers many recipes using up your roots.
Nevertheless we have decided to try out a new bag – Root-free Bag – for a period of 3 months, to see if this can improve customer retaining and attract new customers.
The Root-free Bag will cost £17.00 and will contain a minimum of 8 items, some of them – bought in from certified organic wholesalers. Please note, leeks, onions and garlic are not “root vegetables”. A sample Root-free for March would have (* denotes bought in produce).
Cabbage 1, *Sprouted seeds 100g, Chard or kale 200g, Onions 500g, Squash 1, Leeks 500g, Kalettes 200g, Salad bag 150g, *Mushrooms 150g. The contents will change with the seasons and will be updated weekly on our website in Recent Contents page.
Please let us know what you think. Please note, this is a trial bag, for three months, after which we will review the plans. You will be able to order the new bag through your Rep, by emailing us at [email protected] or via our website.

Thank you very much for the article on plastic versus paper packaging. It was rewarding to read a properly researched and considered commentary, at last. I will share it with friends as widely as possible.
